I'm tired of being surrounded by photo majors.

Wed May 6, 2009, 11:38 PM
Hello all. Sorry for the infrequent uploads lately. There are so many files on my desktop... need to edit them down as they're piling up fast. I'll catch up on uploading by early this summer.

I have been a lazy photographer. It's no good, no good at all. This summer I will have all the time in the world (or so it will seem, at first), it's just a matter of motivating myself to make something fantastic. I've produced some nice photographs indeed, but I have yet to impress myself. This year at school has taught me a fair amount, but I was already aware of my main flaw as a photographer: I don't push my ideas to their full extent. I need to develop more, give myself more time to make something beyond satisfactory. Procrastination: I have fallen victim to it too. It's almost as if I enjoy making things harder for myself. But it is the end of the school year. Hopefully all I need is a refresher.

PS: Anyone know of any cool photography clubs I could join on here? All of the ones I was a part of either ended or got sucky. Let me know!

you know I always walk pass this camera stores that sell a Holga for like 120 bucks here, its this camera that looks pretty vintage, but i always wonder....does it shoot B&W pictures or...infact what seperates it from other cameras hmm..can you enlighten me?
Well the Holga as well as other cameras similar to its kind vignettes and often light leaks, and the soft-focus of the images is admired and appreciated by many photographers. Holgas should not be that expensive. You can get them for around $25 online.
